The much-anticipated arrest of former prime minister Najib Razak yesterday is set to presage a wider crackdown on corruption in Malaysia.

Datuk Seri Najib was taken to the headquarters of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in Putrajaya, where he was to be held overnight.
