IPOH, Perak - A man who was sleeping in his car as he was under the influence of alcohol and unable to drive was robbed – but then fell back to sleep after the incident.
Perak police chief Azizi Mat Aris said that the 60-year-old victim was robbed by two men on Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah at around 1am on Sept 17.
“He stopped by the roadside as he was drunk. At around 5.10am, he was woken up when two suspects smashed the back window of his car,” Datuk Azizi told reporters on Sept 18.
The victim’s mobile phone and car keys were stolen, said Mr Azizi.
“The victim, who was still under the influence of alcohol then fell back to sleep.
“At 8am, a passer-by woke him up and he contacted his wife to get his spare car keys,” he said.
