Central banker Chea Serey defends kingdom against report by NGOs on abuse in $8.2b microfinance sector


A recent report authored by two non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Cambodia highlighting abuse in the country's US$6 billion (S$8.2 billion) microfinance sector made the rounds in global media and got Phnom Penh all riled up.

One of its most vocal critics was Ms Chea Serey, assistant governor of the National Bank of Cambodia.
