Cambodia seizes $10m worth of marijuana

As part of an ongoing crackdown, the Cambodian police seized nearly 1,500kg of marijuana packed into coffee bags. General Khieu Samon, head of the Interior Ministry’s anti-drug office, said the marijuana was seized during raids in Phnom Penh last Friday. Three Cambodians were arrested. “The seized marijuana is worth more than US$7 million (S$9.9 million) in Western markets,” he said, adding that the police also confiscated around 1.5kg of marijuana oil worth at least US$75,000.
