Malaysia is willing to risk failure with controversial new ideas presented in Budget 2019 in a bid to overcome the financial, developmental and administrative problems for the government, said Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

Speaking to The Straits Times on Tuesday, Tun Dr Mahathir said his administration has to "listen to everybody who has ideas" and even "plagiarised" proposals in the historic Budget presentation, the first after a change of government.
