Electric train to Butterworth

SITIAWAN (Ipoh) - The northern route of the Electric Train Service to Butterworth, Penang, is expected to start next month, Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai announced yesterday.

He said there were still trial runs being carried out on the performances of the coach sets and the route that links Kuala Lumpur to Butterworth.

Watchdog names bribery suspects

JAKARTA - Indonesia's anti-graft watchdog on Saturday named two councillors and two local officials from South Sumatra's Musi Banyuasin district as suspects in alleged bribery in drafting the region's 2015 budget, said the Jakarta Globe.

The two members were the Indonesian Democratic Party - Struggle's Mr Bambang Karyanto, and the Great Indonesia Movement Party's Mr Adam Munandar.
