Ex-princess an avid social media user, film star and singer who works with youth and charities

BANGKOK • The former princess thrust into the limelight yesterday is a royal celebrity with an offbeat sense of humour.

Ms Ubolratana Rajakanya, 67, once asked people not to wish her "Song Phra Charoen", or "May your highness be prosperous". It could be a blessing to make her fat, she said in jest. "Say 'Song Phra Slender' instead," she said.
