JOHOR BAHRU – A 2.5-magnitude aftershock was recorded in Segamat, Johor, on the evening of Aug 28.

The tremor at 7.56pm was detected about 13km north of Segamat town, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

The incident follows a

3.2-magnitude aftershock that occurred on Aug 27

and a

4.1-magnitude earthquake at 6.13am on Aug 24.

“The epicentre of the Aug 28 tremor was at latitude 2.6 degrees North and longitude 102.8 degrees East, with a depth of 10km. Tremors were felt in parts of Johor state,” the Malaysian Meteorological Department said. THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
