Analysts say Myanmar's by-election outcome does not clearly indicate a revival of the Union Solidarity and Development Party, but the results give an idea of what could happen if the National League for Democracy (NLD) lets its guard down and voters begin to scrutinise individual candidates more carefully, rather than vote for a brand.

The health promotion efforts of different public agencies will be better coordinated with the setting up of a multi-agency task force, said Health Minister Gan Kim Yong. The task force will hold public consultation sessions next year for ideas to encourage Singaporeans to adopt healthy lifestyles.
