Moderates uneasy over party's growing ties with PAS; analysts expect more will leave

Two top Umno leaders have quit amid disquiet among moderates in the Malay party over efforts to move closer to Islamic party PAS.

The two, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, who are lawmakers as well as former ministers in the previous administration, announced their decision in the space of 24 hours.
