Babies dressed as Cupid, underwater weddings and a government vitamin giveaway to encourage procreation were all part of imaginative and bizarre events in Thailand yesterday to mark Valentine's Day. The Land of Smiles embraces Feb 14 like few other nations in South-east Asia. Here's a look at how some people in the region marked the day.

THE PHILIPPINES: Filipino students at an all-girl Catholic school in Manila dancing during a campaign called One Billion Rising yesterday to demand an end to violence against women. Campaign founder Eve Ensler says One Billion Rising is a global drive held annually on Valentine's Day in more than 200 countries to demand an end to all forms of violence against women worldwide.
