HK chief exec candidates face off

Hong Kong's three chief executive candidates will take part in a debate organised by a local teachers' union tonight for the upcoming election for the city's highest office.

Former chief secretary Carrie Lam, former financial secretary John Tsang and retired judge Woo Kwok Hing have all confirmed that they will attend the event to be held at the University of Hong Kong.


Helping firms better understand Budget

The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises is holding a convention today to help companies better understand the recent Budget initiatives.

The full-day event will see government agencies and industry experts speaking about this year's Budget measures and ways to overcome business challenges ahead.


China economic data out today

China's National Bureau of Statistics will release a slew of official economic data today, including monthly manufacturing numbers as well as real estate investment data.

The numbers will indicate whether the country started 2017 on a stronger footing.
