Japan's Foreign Minister to visit China

Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono is set to visit Beijing this weekend for talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi tomorrow.

His two-day visit comes after Beijing rebuked Japan for opening a museum devoted to two sets of disputed islands, including Senkaku - which China calls Diaoyu - in the East China Sea.


Rallies in Russia to call for polls boycott

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny is organising a series of rallies across Russia tomorrow to press home his call for a boycott of a March 18 presidential election he has been barred from running in.

Mr Navalny is seen by many as the only person who stands a chance of challenging incumbent Vladimir Putin.


Pioneer Polyclinic opening today

Pioneer Polyclinic - Singapore's newest polyclinic - will be officially opened today by Health Minister Gan Kim Yong. It is located in Jurong West Street 61.

At the event, a community art mural - which is a combined effort between the National University Polyclinics and various community partners such as Pioneer constituency and Jurong West Primary School - will be unveiled.
