BEIJING (CAIXIN GLOBAL) - Unvaccinated children face the risk of severe neurological and respiratory complications from the Omicron BA.2 subvariant of Covid-19, according to University of Hong Kong researchers.

The finding contradicts evidence that the disease is less severe than other variants in vaccinated people. The non-peer reviewed study was posted on the preprint platform of the British medical journal The Lancet.
