A recent batch of the famously fiery Chinese national liquor, baijiu, packs a particular punch in China.

On the bottle labels are the four characters ba jiu liu si, or 8964, with the tagline "Never forget, never give up". The alcohol content is 64 per cent and a bottle is sold for 89.64 yuan.
