Thousands told to stay home in Hong Kong

Hong Kong imposed a temporary lockdown on thousands of residents for the first time to carry out mandatory testing of the coronavirus yesterday, with the authorities warning the move will be repeated, if needed, to contain the outbreak.

A government statement said the authorities aim to complete the exercise within 48 hours.
