South Korea's presidential office has hinted that halting joint military drills with the United States may be necessary to advance discussions on the North's denuclearisation, even as concern grew over the US commitment to the country's security.
This came a day after President Donald Trump unilaterally announced that the US will be stopping the "expensive" and "provocative" war games, following his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore.
