TENG COUNTY, GUANGXI - A quiet hamlet close to Guangxi's border with Guangdong has transformed into a hive of activity since the China Eastern Airlines plane crashed into nearby mountains.

In the early hours of the disaster on Monday afternoon (March 21), residents in Molang village ferried rescuers and equipment on their motorcycles through narrow mountain roads in quickly fading light.
