This picture, taken last Friday, shows police officer Wu Jun receiving treatment at a hospital in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei province. He was severely injured last Wednesday after using his body to shield colleagues from an exploding homemade device. At the time, he and his team were confronting a man who had threatened to set off explosions at a township in Hubei. He told reporters he did not regret his actions that day. He said that if he were faced with the choice again, he would do the same thing. According to Chinese media, his colleagues were not hurt in the incident; the suspect was also unharmed.
