SHANGHAI - Newly released photos from the upcoming Shanghai Disney Resort, which is set to open on June 16, have given fans a peek at the attractions.
The resort is said to be three times the size of Hong Kong's Disney attraction.
Its theme park, Shanghai Disneyland, will have the tallest and biggest Disney castle in the world, reported the South China Morning Post on Wednesday (March 9).
Other attractions seen in the images released include Adventure Isle, a high-speed Tron Lightcycle Power Run roller coaster, a Pirates Of The Caribbean feature, a family-friendly roller coaster starring the Seven Dwarfs and a Toy Story hotel.
Tickets for the park go on sale on March 28, and will cost 499 yuan (S$106) during the opening two weeks.
Off-peak tickets will cost 370 yuan after that, which is about 20 per cent cheaper than tickets in Hong Kong, Bloomberg reported last month.
Disney's first mainland China resort is the company's greatest opportunity since Walt Disney bought land in central Florida in the 1960s, chief executive Robert Iger said.
