SEOUL - South Korea has made no bones about wanting to use the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics as a platform for sports diplomacy and resume stalled nuclear talks with the North.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in is pushing for an official declaration to end the 1950-1953 Korean War, hoping it will serve as a catalyst to restart dialogue. He just sent his top security adviser Suh Hoon to Beijing for talks.
