In an emergency meeting with top aides shortly after United States President Donald Trump axed his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, South Korean President Moon Jae In expressed regret and said he was perplexed by the sudden decision.

Mr Moon must have been feeling blue, too, blindsided by Mr Trump and left in the lurch despite spending months trying to mediate between the two leaders in a bid to improve inter-Korea ties and establish permanent peace on the Korean peninsula.
