Japan protests after Chinese fighter flies too close to its jet: Defence Minister

TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan has protested to China over a fighter flight incident, Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera said on Wednesday.

A Chinese fighter aircraft flew abnormally close to a plane of Japan's Self-Defence Force over the East China Sea.

China's Defence Ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
