BEIJING - Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit South Korea from Oct 30 to Nov 1 for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit, Beijing's foreign ministry said on Oct 24, without confirming a meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Mr Xi will deliver a speech at Apec and hold bilateral meetings with other leaders, including South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, Mr Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the ministry, said at a press briefing on Oct 24

The White House said on Oct 23 that Mr Trump would have a bilateral meeting with Mr Xi on the morning of Oct 30.

When asked about the meeting, Mr Guo said China would “release further information in a timely manner”.
