SUZHOU, CHINA (Reuters) - A Chinese woman was rescued after she drove her car into a river in eastern China's Jiangsu province, state media reported on Sunday (May 8).
The driver mistook the accelerator for the brake, smashed through a stone barrier and plunged into a river on May 2 in Suzhou city, state broadcaster CCTV said.
As the car began to sink, four people came to rescue the woman, CCTV reported.
CCTV said she escaped with only minor injuries.
