China reporter attacked by Hong Kong protesters now a mainland hero

Even as his hands were being cable-tied behind his head, Global Times reporter Fu Guohao struck a look of defiance.

"I support the Hong Kong police, you can beat me now," Mr Fu said, as an angry mob surrounded and hurled abuse at him.
