"Jiajia" an interactive robot, "posing" for a wefie with a journalist during its debut yesterday in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province.

Developed by the University of Science and Technology of China, Jiajia is able to engage in simple conversation with people.

It is also capable of varying its facial expressions as well as making its body move according to the shape of its mouth.

Being a robot, it also has high-tech functions like Global Positioning System and is capable of connecting to cloud services.
