Chinese Defence Minister Wei Fenghe drew a clear red line on the issue of Taiwan when in Singapore during the recent Shangri-La Dialogue.
"Let me make this clear, if anyone dares to split Taiwan from China, we will not hesitate to fight. We will fight at all costs, and we will fight to the very end. This is the only choice for China," he said on Sunday at the defence summit.
