President orders probe into airport bullet scam

MANILA • Philippine President Benigno Aquino yesterday ordered a thorough investigation into alleged bullet-planting incidents on the baggage of travellers at the country's premier Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

An extortion racket allegedly plants bullets in the luggage of passengers and then asks them for bribes to be spared from arrest and other penalties.
