Thousands of demonstrators held a "Keep Calm and No War" rally and march in Tokyo yesterday to protest against Japan's recently enacted security Bills, which opened the door for Japanese troops to engage in combat overseas for the first time since the end of World War II. Critics of the legislation say it violates the pacifist Constitution, but polls last week showed that public support for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has largely rebounded from the lows it touched after the legislation's passage in September.
