A formal end to the Korean War could be on the cards of a second summit between United States President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un planned for this month, Mr Trump's special envoy has indicated. Mr Stephen Biegun also revealed that Mr Kim has committed to dismantling and destroying the North's nuclear enrichment facilities.
The United States and China were upbeat about the progress of their trade negotiations after high-level talks this week, with only a month to go before the US ratchets up tariffs on Chinese goods. President Donald Trump said he would meet Chinese President Xi Jinping to seal a deal, possibly after his summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
