New NZ leader to discuss Cabinet posts

New Zealand Labour Party leader and incoming prime minister Jacinda Ardern will discuss Cabinet positions in her new government with her party caucus today. Ms Ardern has already confirmed that the position of deputy prime minister has been offered to Mr Winston Peters after the leader of the New Zealand First party threw his support behind Labour to form the government.


Safe driving, mobility tech conference

A two-day conference on safe driving and advancements in mobility technology starts today. Called the Safe Driving and Mobility Conference and organised by the Automobile Association of Singapore, the event features road safety experts from different parts of the world. The event also has an exhibition showcasing the latest developments in the field, as well as on-site driving simulators.


Forum on future economy

The National University of Singapore's Department of Economics and the Economic Society of Singapore are holding a forum on preparing Singapore for the future economy at the Regent Hotel today. The forum will feature talks by prominent industry leaders, economists and researchers on a broad range of topics, including the sharing economy, digital economy and creativity, labour market and healthcare amid an ageing populace.
