SYDNEY (BLOOMBERG) - Early morning flights at Sydney Airport faced delays of as much as 90 minutes on Wednesday (April 3) due to fog.

Around a dozen domestic flights were cancelled, according to local media, while international flights encountered delays.

The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) issued an alert and said the fog would affect most of the suburbs.

"Reduced visibility in fog may make road conditions dangerous during Wednesday morning," it said. "Motorists are advised to take extreme care."

BOM said the fog would clear to become a sunny morning.
