An exercise by Singapore and Australia to explore collaboration on a "digital economy" is slated to end in October, in line with a directive from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison during their meeting in Singapore in May.

Cooperation on electronic invoicing, digital identities and e-payments is on the cards, and the negotiators will get to hammer out the details of what such a collaboration would exactly entail.
