SYDNEY - A scoping exercise being undertaken by negotiators from Singapore and Australia to explore collaboration on a "digital economy" is slated to conclude in October, in line with a directive from Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison during their meeting in Singapore in May.
Cooperation on electronic invoicing, digital identities and e-payments are on the cards, but rather than approach the prospective partnership as a close-ended exercise, negotiators from both sides have been given leeway to hammer out the details of what such a collaboration would exactly entail.
