SYDNEY • Canada's intelligence agency has issued an intriguing report that named New Zealand as a key target for Chinese efforts at covert interference.

The report, published by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service earlier this year, warned that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had been "aggressive" in targeting New Zealand's political and business leaders to try and gain influence in the country.
