Calls for immigration intake to be cut as big cities are overcrowded

Australia is in the grip of a fierce debate over whether to restrict the flow of migrants amid concerns that the major cities are "overcrowded".

Despite the country having one of the lowest overall population densities in the world, most of its residents are squeezed into a handful of increasingly congested cities along the coast.
