Football fans sing French national anthem during stadium evacuation - video

SYDNEY - Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull condemned the terrorist attacks in Paris as an assault on all humanity and praised French football fans for their response to the killings.

"When the French people left the stadium after that shocking attack, they were not cowered," Mr Turnbull said in Berlin. "They sang their national anthem proudly, and that is how all free people should respond to these assaults. Freedom stands up for itself, stands up for its values in the face of terrorism.''

Mr Turnbull declared Australia's solidarity with France.

"In France, in Australia, all around the world, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of France and with all free peoples in the battle against terrorism," he said.
