Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean met Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull during a three-day visit to Canberra to strengthen ties with members of the Australian Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet, and explore ways to enhance bilateral relations between the countries. Australian leaders expressed appreciation for enhanced bilateral relations, especially following the signing of the Joint Declaration on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in June 2015. During his visit, which ended yesterday, Mr Teo held discussions with his hosts on issues such as strengthening counter-terrorism cooperation.
