Two months ago, students at Australia's oldest university, the University of Sydney, held their annual vote for president of the student representative council.

For the first time, according to the student newspaper Honi Soit, the winner - Chinese-born Australian resident Jacky He - was elected by relying mainly on the support of the university's international students.
