A video of nonagenarian dancing to music on a Perth street has captured the hearts of netizens.

The video of Gail, 77, bouncing jauntily to a fast-paced song played by busker Andrew Cousins has been watched more than 320,000 times since it was uploaded to Facebook on Dec 1.

The post by Two Feet & a Heart, which conducts Perth walking tours, was shared more than 2,000 times.

Tour guide Ryan Zaknich, who shot the video when he was leading a tour late in November, told Perth Now that "Everyone around had a huge smile and some even joined in with their own dance routines".

The popularity of Gail's spontaneous display inspired Australian news channel 9News to arrange a reunion for her and Mr Cousins this week.

Gail gamely boogied to his music while others joined in.

"A round of applause. Seventy seven years old and still dancing," Mr Cousins said, while giving Gail a high five.

News reports did not give her second name.
