Killer of Malaysian IT analyst hanged

PETALING JAYA • Former aircraft cabin cleaning supervisor Ahmad Najib Aris was hanged yesterday at the Kajang Prison following his conviction by the High Court for the rape and murder of IT analyst Canny Ong in 2003. The victim's charred remains were found in a manhole near a highway construction site.

Taiwan jails 'double agent' for 18 years

TAIPEI • A Taiwanese court has sentenced former intelligence officer Wang Tsung-wu to 18 years in prison for reportedly working as a double agent and spying for China as relations worsen with Beijing.
