Pakistani air strikes kill 20

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani air strikes killed 20 militants and injured about 18 others in the country's lawless tribal area bordering Afghanistan, the military said. Yesterday's strikes in Khyber district are part of a big ongoing operation against the Taleban.

Appeal of tycoon's wife fails

PUTRAJAYA - A former beauty queen has failed again in her bid to stop Malaysian courts hearing divorce proceedings against her by her tycoon husband. The Court of Appeal yesterday ruled that Ms Pauline Chai Siew Phin's place of residence has to follow that of her husband Khoo Kay Peng, though she now lives in Britain. Her lawyer said they will appeal against the decision.
