Suicide attack on bus in Syria kills at least 32

BEIRUT • A suicide bomber has detonated an explosive vest on a bus in Syria near the Atmeh border crossing with Turkey, killing at least 32 people, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

The bus was carrying fighters from foreign-backed rebel factions on Sunday to a major bastion of the Turkish-backed opposition to President Bashar al-Assad's rule.

Another ban on burqinis in France

BASTIA (France) • A mayor on the French island of Corsica yesterday became the third nationwide to ban burqinis, after the full-body Islamic swimsuit allegedly sparked violent clashes.

The new ban follows a brawl last Saturday between locals and families of North African origin after tourists took pictures of women swimming in burqinis.
