Hackers 'targeted NYT's Russia bureau'

WASHINGTON • The New York Times (NYT) said its Moscow bureau was targeted by a cyber attack this month but that there was no evidence the hackers, believed to be Russian, were successful.

The paper is "constantly monitoring our systems with the latest available intelligence and tools", according to spokesman Eileen Murphy on Tuesday.

Australia to study drift of MH370 debris

SYDNEY • Replicas of a large piece of debris from missing Malaysia Airlines jet MH370 will be set adrift and tracked by satellite in the hope of helping find the plane's crash site, Australian officials said yesterday.
