Germany warns of migrant limits

BERLIN • Germany's President has warned that there are limits to how many refugees his country can absorb as it prepares for as many as 800,000 arrivals this year.

The comments on Sunday from Dr Joachim Gauck were set to fuel a raging debate about how so many newcomers can be integrated into German society.

Hunter in lion case disputes charge

HWANGE, Zimbabwe • Lawyers for professional Zimbabwean hunter Theo Bronkhorst, who led the expedition that killed Cecil the lion, yesterday applied to have the case against him thrown out of court.

Bronkhorst, 52, has been charged with "failing to prevent an illegal hunt" involving American dentist Walter Palmer.
