Bid to re-energise UN climate talks

PARIS • Foreign and environment ministers from 45 countries will gather in Paris today seeking to re-energise climate talks mired in technical details and political squabbling.

The meeting comes ahead of a UN conference in November tasked with producing a historic climate pact.

Spain's governing party leads in polls

MADRID • Spain's governing People's Party (PP) and the main opposition socialists (PSOE) have pulled ahead of anti-establishment party Podemos ahead of national elections later this year.

The centre-right PP has 29.1 per cent voter support while PSOE has 25.1 per cent, according to a survey by pollsters GAD3 . Support for Podemos fell to 15.0 per cent.
