Agents rush stage to protect shaken Trump at Ohio rally

Security guards rushed the stage to protect Donald Trump at a rally in Dayton, Ohio, on Saturday, less than a day after thousands of protesters forced him to postpone a rally in Chicago.

Trump appeared to be have been alerted by a member of the crowd that someone was behind him, and he immediately jerked his head around as four agents surrounded him to provide a protective shield.

It was unclear what caused the incident. Trump continued with his speech as the crowd chanted "USA". He gave them thumbs up.

London police seek mystery Shard parachutist

London police were hunting for a man who parachuted off The Shard, western Europe's tallest skyscraper, then scarpered from the scene on Saturday.

The daredevil vanished following his dramatic jump from the 310m-high glass-clad building.

Video footage of the man's descent later circulated on social media.

Ai Weiwei brings white grand piano to muddy refugee field

Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei dragged a white grand piano to a muddy, rain-drenched refugee camp on the Greek-Macedonian border on Saturday, allowing a young Syrian woman to tinkle the ivories for the first time in years.

Performing in the pouring rain under a plastic sheet held up by Ai and others, 24-year-old Nour Alkhzam, who has not seen her husband for over a year because of her country's brutal war, played for 20 minutes in a field at the Idomeni border camp, where 12,000 migrants and refugees are stuck in grim conditions.

"This is our attempt to create an opportunity for this lady," Ai said at the end of the impromptu performance.

Football: Lukaku sinks Chelsea, Costa sent off in FA Cup

Romelu Lukaku scored two superb goals to give Everton a 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final victory on Saturday over his former club Chelsea, for whom Diego Costa was sent off.

As a fractious match neared its conclusion, Lukaku took a Tom Cleverley pass in his stride after 77 minutes and powered past four defenders before burying an unstoppable shot into the back of the visitors' goal.

Just five minutes later, after neat passes from Gareth Barry and Ross Barkley, it was left to Lukaku to deliver the killer blow with another emphatic finish that earned Everton a place in the semi-finals.

Football: Raffael scores 30m goal as Gladbach beat Frankfurt

Borussia Moenchengladbach moved back into the Bundesliga top four on Saturday as a stunning goal from Raffael helped them beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0.

The Brazilian curled his shot in from 30m after keeper Lukas Hradecky tried to clear the ball but instead sent it straight into the path of the striker.

Lars Stindl had put the hosts ahead and youngster Mahmoud Dahoud added a third goal in the 79th minute as Gladbach climbed above Schalke 04 into fourth place on 42 points, three behind Hertha Berlin, who are third.
