Greek PM to deliver key speech

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will give his annual state of the economy speech today at an international trade fair in Thessaloniki, a traditionally convenient platform for politicians to declare their intended policies. Analysts say Mr Tsipras' speech will mostly focus on attacks against the previous government and New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is leading in popularity polls.


Buddhist College's 10th anniversary

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Buddhist College of Singapore today. It is the leading institution on Buddhist studies, offering a degree and master's in Buddhism in both English and Mandarin. The college has been running programmes at the Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery in Bright Hill Road in Bishan since 2005.


Launch of Malay Language Month

More than 500 residents will be joined by Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli at the launch of Tampines GRC's Malay Language Month today. One of the highlights of the event at the Tampines West CC will be the singing of classic Malay songs. Young and veteran artists will come together to present a programme celebrating the best musical and cultural traditions of the community.
