France may conduct air strikes in Syria

France will launch surveillance flights over Syria today with a view to conducting air strikes on Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) positions. France has so far carried out air strikes against ISIS only in neighbouring Iraq. Britain is also thought to be considering similar action in Syria, with Prime Minister David Cameron trying to organise a new parliamentary vote on the issue in the coming weeks.


Pupils showcase game-creation skills

Pupils from Primary 4 to 6 showcase their talent and creativity in the National Primary Games Creation Competition finals today.

Participants are tasked to create innovative digital games that will help students acquire knowledge and skills in financial literacy.


Naming of Prestige Brand winners

Brand winners for the Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA) will be announced at a press conference today.

Jointly organised by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises and Chinese Daily Lianhe Zaobao, the SPBA is now into its 14th year of recognising home-grown brands for their sustainable and effective branding initiatives.
